Description
Accountancy Recruit is partnering with the UK subsidiary of a global management consultancy in the recruitment of a Part Time Management Accountant based remotely or in the office if desired (physical site located in London – WC1). Part Time would be 16 hours per week, with flexible working times.
The purpose of the role is to prepare the management accounts for submission to group monthly, maintain a low volume AP and AR function, budgets and forecasting using Xero, bespoke software and Excel.
Responsibilities -
• Prepare the monthly management account for two UK companies: P&L, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis using Xero.
• Preparing management information on timesheet and utilization monthly.
• Taking information from Xero when preparing a cashflow forecast monthly.
• Preparing a full year forecast monthly
• Raising approx. 10 sales invoices per month. Calculating fixed fees, daily charges etc.
• AP – coding 10-15 invoices per month.
• Preparing expenses and salary payments
• Annual budget setting; preparing cycle and management.
• Working directly with the UK Managing Director, the Head Office Group finance team in Munich and the Group CFO.
• Liaising with the external Accounting and Audit teams in the UK.
• Supporting implementation of a new timesheet system/operational system (Kantata)
• Part-time, with flexibility to increase hours as the company grows.
• Bank compliance documentation and regulatory requirements.
Requirements and Skills
• Fully Qualified – ACA, CIMA, ACCA, AAT or Qualified by experience.
• German speaker would be an advantage, but not necessary as the group team are fluent in English.
• Understanding of working within a consultancy business would also be an advantage.
• Experience of preparing management accounts to work autonomously.
• Ability to communicate effectively to finance and non-finance personnel.
• A curious and questioning mind-set, highly motivated, focused and enjoys problem solving.
• Excellent initiative and drive, enthusiastic and organised.
Remuneration
• Salary £40-50,000 pro rata
• Hours: 16 hours per week
• Holidays - 28 days/p.a. holidays … pro-rata for the part-time
• Company pension scheme - employer contribution of 6%
