Description
Rotheram Carrington Financial Recruitment is please to be working with a well-established and expanding business based in the Chester area is seeking to appoint a Management Accountant to strengthen its finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA) or recently qualified Management Accountant to join a growing organisation and play a key role in supporting financial decision-making.
Reporting directly to the Financial Director, you will contribute to the production of accurate, timely, and commercially relevant financial information to support strategic and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Preparation of monthly management accounts, including full P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting
• Monthly accruals, prepayments and journal postings
• Balance sheet reconciliations and investigation of variances
• Production of monthly KPI reporting and performance analysis
• Budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis
• Cash flow forecasting and working capital management
• Supporting year-end statutory accounts preparation and liaising with external auditors
• VAT returns and other statutory submissions
• Assisting with the development and improvement of financial controls and processes
• Providing financial analysis to support commercial decision-making
• Supporting the Financial Director with ad hoc projects and reporting requirements
Candidate Profile
• Part-qualified or recently qualified ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent)
• Previous experience in a management accounting role
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical capability
• Advanced Excel skills and confident working with financial systems
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
• Proactive, organised and able to manage multiple deadlines
