Job Description Position Purpose: The Maintenance Technician I inspects, maintains, repairs and installs mechanical, electromechanical, pneumatic and/or hydraulic equipment at plant and/or pump stations. Will require utilizing the auto crane truck to pull lift station pumps, and misc. other pumps and motors on a frequent basis. Maintains the grounds at all City owned and maintained lift stations. Requires frequently working alone, and unsupervised during assigned duties on the assigned Lift Station routes. Primary Duties/Responsibilities: • Responsible for the maintenance of all equipment, and grounds at the WWTP & all associated City owned and operated lift stations as required by Veolia's contract. Must be available for call-outs. Work Environment: • Ability to work alone and, in inclement weather conditions is essential. • Will require working in all the weather conditions Florida provides. These conditions include working in strong winds, rain, and extreme high temperatures. • Work is primarily outdoors with limited indoor work. Work is conducted at a safe and reasonable pace.
