Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician II is an entry-level role responsible for supporting the maintenance of facility infrastructure and material handling equipment across multiple distribution locations. This position focuses on preventive maintenance, basic repairs, and assisting senior technicians to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform basic preventive maintenance (PMs) on forklifts, dock doors, and facility equipment
Assist with troubleshooting and repair of material handling equipment (Crown, Toyota, Yale forklifts)
Support maintenance of building systems, including:
Lighting and minor electrical (bulbs, ballasts, fixtures)
Basic plumbing repairs (leaks, fixtures)
HVAC filter changes and routine upkeep
Inspect and assist with repair of dock doors, levelers, and seals
Respond to routine maintenance requests and work orders
Assist with equipment installations and facility projects
Maintain tools, work areas, and shop organization
Accurately document completed work and report issues to supervisor
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Work alongside and learn from Maintenance Technician II or Supervisor
Qualifications
1–2 years of maintenance, mechanical, or related experience (warehouse, construction, automotive, etc.)
Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Ability to safely use hand and power tools
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Skills & Competencies
Basic mechanical troubleshooting
Strong work ethic and reliability
Willingness to learn new systems and equipment
Good communication and teamwork
Attention to detail and safety awareness
Work Environment & Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing
Exposure to warehouse environment (heat, cold, noise, moving equipment)
**Ability to travel between local facilities as needed**
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to forklift or automotive repair
Basic understanding of electrical or hydraulics
Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
