The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for organizing the overall maintenance of the plant and for assisting the maintenance and production management teams with planning and scheduling for all programs which support the maintenance strategy for Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, Operator Asset Care, Continuous Improvement and Maintenance Avoidance. This role is responsible for providing support, guidance and leadership to the maintenance department to fully support Production, Quality and Safety.

Job Description:
Schedule: Rotating A/B Schedule: (3) days one week and (4) days the next, 12 hour shift, 7:00pm. to 7:30am
Work Location: 1801 N 36th St, Grand Forks, ND 58203
Salary, based on experience and other qualifications: $73,000 to $108,350 annual with additional bonus potential

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Complies with and enforce all company policies and plant rules and procedures, to include Safety, Quality, GMPs, and General Work Rules.
• Establish and maintain GMP’s and SOP’s to keep the facility ready for customer inspections as well as governmental inspections (EPA, FDA, OSHA etc.).
• Provide leadership for all maintenance employees in order to achieve plant goals via continuous improvement and alignment to the company’s vision, mission and values.
• Collaborate with all departments to establish or improve existing programs to proactively address safety and other policies.
• Supervise the day-to-day activities of routine and emergency maintenance in a 24/7 work environment.
• Fully utilize Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to process maintenance work orders to best utilize maintenance labor, to schedule preventive maintenance to extend equipment life expectancy, and to control parts inventory and costs
• Assist with maintenance activities tied to production and the facility, including but not limited to insuring the facility’s safety and environmental work is current and compliant.
• Monitor personnel matters to include work schedules, vacations, and discipline.
• Provide guidance, training and coaching to maintenance team
• Coordinate with Maintenance Manager on equipment analysis to determine facility improvement needs.
• Monitor line operations, production line speeds, quality, and attending daily meetings.
• Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite work flow for all multi-craft mechanics and lead persons.
• Manage outside contractors as needed for specialized repairs such as compressors, OEM, alarm systems, boilers, etc.
• Drive cost savings through continuous follow up of maintenance personnel activities.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to increase production efficiency.
• Participate in daily planning meetings with the management team
• Conduct daily meetings with maintenance staff outlining tasks, safety concerns, etc.
• Participate in the creation of annual maintenance and capital budgets
Skills, Experience and Education:
• Effective listener and team player
• Able to work effectively with others, have good interpersonal and leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Able to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Strong computer skills including experience with SAP and Microsoft Office.
• Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to lead and support multiple projects
Education:
• High School plus specialized training (min 6mos-2yrs)
Certification/Licensure Required for Job:
Minimum Experience Preferred (Number of years and type):
• 1-year supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Exposure PLC programming a plus.
