To strengthen our maintenance organization in Beringen, we are looking for a Mechanical Supervisor/Scheduler, who combines strong technical mechanical experience with people leadership. In this role, you ensure that mechanical activities are pro-actively scheduled (planned), run safely, efficiently and with high quality, while coaching a team of skilled technicians on the shop floor. This is a grasp of your role & responsibilities: • Schedule, lead and supervise daily maintenance execution with a strong focus on HSE, quality, cost control and operational continuity. • Distribute and prioritize work to the technicians, organize daily start (toolbox) meetings, monitor execution and collect feedback at the end of the day. • Coordinate/plan closely with production and engineering to align priorities and ensure smooth execution. • Ensure correct administration, feedback & follow up in SAP, including time writing and maintenance history. • As a supervisor you will: • Actively supervise and steer technicians in the field, ensuring safe and efficient execution of maintenance activities. • Manage and coach a team of 17 mechanical technicians, together with your colleague supervisor, ensuring optimal use of skills and competences. • Act as line manager for the assigned technicians, including responsibility for attendance, approval of time writing and performance follow-up. About you You would fit into this role when, you have: • technical mechanical education with first experience in a similar supervisory or coordination role, combined with a strong background in mechanical maintenance, preferably within the chemical industry • solid knowledge of HSE standards, work permits and process safety • a minimum of MS Office experience, knowledge of SAP would be an extra. You of course master the Dutch language (non-negotiable) and have a basic knowledge of English. • a structured, strong planning and organizational skills, with a hands on approach. Able to plan and prioritize maintenance activities on both short and longer term, while reacting effectively to operational changes. • strong communication skills – able to act as a bridge builder across departments, build a network with key stakeholders and act quickly and decisively when priorities change • the capacity of being a natural leader who enjoys developing people and creating a positive team atmosphere After a proper onboarding period, you will participate in the mechanical maintenance on-call system Our offer A permanent contract (day working regime) for a key supervisory role in a technically challenging industrial environment.
