Relocation Support Offered Must have FMCG Industry experience We are excited to be looking for the next cohort of Maintenance Fitters to join our Ingleburn Manufacturing Team This is a crucial role to support the production capabilities of the site to ensure equipment is repaired and maintained in a safe, compliant and timely manner. Reporting to our Engineering and Reliability Manager you will be a part of a hard-working team that is highly collaborative and takes pride in keeping our machinery and equipment in peak working order. Key Responsibilities in the role include: The ‘hands on’ repairs and maintenance of on-site, mechanical systems or equipment (including their sub-assemblies) whilst adhering to safe systems of work, compliance to food safety and following engineering standards set out by Real Pet Food Co (RPF). Mechanical maintenance work consisting of both unplanned (reactive or breakdown maintenance) as well as planned (corrective, preventative or work that is of a rebuild nature) for both offline or online equipment. Being first point of contact for mechanical maintenance requirements from on-site internal customers (Operations, Safety, Quality and Engineering), but also the timely escalation for additional assistance or work outside their remit (e.g electrical, other specialised trades) in line with ‘RPF Escalation Protocols’. Completing any assigned or planned work (corrective, preventative or work that is of a rebuild nature), and the scoping of material or additional labour requirements for work that they identify as ‘requests for work’. Time to time investigations of a technical and mechanical nature, and the immediate escalation and reporting of safety or food safety – near miss reporting, incidents or hazard reporting. You will nail this role if you have: Experience as a Maintenance/Mechanical Fitter in FMCG or the Food Manufacturing Industry No problems working in a food manufacturing site - this is a busy site that manufactures pet food from raw products including frozen animal protein Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of mechanical systems such as pneumatic, hydraulic, power transmission and fluid transfer systems (steam, water, chemical/CIP etc). Background knowledge of refrigeration, boilers, compressed air, advanced waste-water or trade waste treatment plant. Ideally a Certificate III Mechanical Trade or Cert III Mechanical Trade – Fitter/Machinist, however a Certificate II or above qualifications in Fluid Power (Pneumatics) or Certificate II or above qualifications in hydraulics or pneumatics is also acceptable A s trong team player , ready to be part of our pack, working collaboratively and cross-functionally.
