Description
Salary: Up to £42,000 + Overtime + Call-Out Allowance
We are seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join its team, covering a portfolio of commercial office buildings across Bristol and Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK's leading engineering and services businesses, offering a stable position, excellent benefits, and genuine opportunities for career development.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out both planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive electrical maintenance across multiple client sites. As many of the buildings are unmanned, the role would suit an engineer who is confident working independently, managing their own workload, and providing a high standard of service to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on electrical systems and associated building services equipment.
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests and fault-finding activities across the portfolio
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults in a safe and efficient manner
• Complete maintenance records and compliance documentation accurately
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety regulations and company procedures
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and site contacts
• Support with general building services maintenance where required
Working Hours:
• Monday to Friday
• 8:00am – 4:30pm
• Mobile role covering Bristol and Cardiff
Requirements:
• Level 3 Electrical qualification as a minimum
• 17th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification accepted
• Minimum of 2 years' experience within a building services, facilities management, or commercial maintenance environment
• Strong fault-finding and maintenance skills
• Ability to work independently across multiple sites
• Full UK driving licence
What's on Offer:
• Basic salary up to £42,000 depending on experience
• Overtime opportunities available to increase earnings
• Call-out rota of 1 week in 4 with a standby payment of £120 per week, plus additional overtime when called out
• Travel time paid, excluding the first and last 30 minutes of the day
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
• Private medical insurance
• Competitive pension scheme
• Company sick pay
• Employee discount and benefits platform
• Ongoing training and development opportunities
• Long-term career progression within a well-established and respected organisation
Interview Process
• Initial Microsoft Teams interview
• Final face-to-face interview
This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrically qualified engineer looking for a varied mobile position with a strong employer, excellent benefits package, and the chance to work across a diverse portfolio of commercial office environments.
