Job Description As a Maintenance Assistant/Grounds Keeper at Miller’s, you are responsible for helping with the general upkeep of the physical plant, its property and grounds. You play an important role in patient and visitor safety, comfort and satisfaction. You follow all regulations and company policies regarding safety, infection control, and other applicable standards. You are able to work from a task list. You communicate professionally with other departments, patients, their families and staff. Qualifications Requirements: • 40 hours/week minimum with some overtime flexibility • Flexible hours and workdays, Sunday-Saturday • Be available spring through fall • Able to work outdoors with no physical limitations (lift 50+lbs, bending, kneeling, pulling, twisting, etc.) • Experience and skilled with lawncare & landscape maintenance • Experience operating outdoor equipment, including but not limited to: commercial mowers, trimmers, chemical sprayers, pull behind trailers, chain saws, other company vehicles • Willing to commute between buildings with a valid driver’s license • Strongly attentive to lawn and landscape detail • Knowledge (or willingness to learn) about irrigation system maintenance • Good with communication and prioritizing • Self-motivated • Primary duties will consist of (but not limited to): mowing, trimming, edging, planting, mulching, watering, pruning, raking, pressure washing EXPOSURE CATEGORY II: Tasks that involve no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, but employment may require unplanned Category I tasks Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
