Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician will work with the Maintenance Planner-Scheduler to oversee the maintenance and repairs of all production machinery, equipment, and facilities. This includes troubleshooting, renovations, re-builds, or installations. This position will also perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance tasks. This person will have a strong background in electronic and electrical systems and equipment. This individual will also work independently and with the Planner-Scheduler on continuous improvement initiatives.

• Evaluates machines, equipment, systems, or facilities to determine maintenance needs or repairs.
• Coordinates with Planner-Scheduler to plan work assignments and project schedules and ensure completion of planned workload.
• Works with Planner-Scheduler to develop maintenance procedures.
• Ability to train other maintenance technicians on a variety of machinery and equipment.
Job Duties and Tasks:
• Provides direction and leadership to the maintenance technicians or teams during PMs, repairs, re-builds, renovations, or installations.
• Responsible for always maintaining a clean and organized maintenance department.
• Confers with the Planner-Scheduler daily to confirm maintenance plans and schedules.
• Quickly and effectively resolves questions and reacts to unplanned events to minimize production interruptions.
• Proactively communicates issues that will impact production schedules to the Planner-Scheduler.
• Ensures that all resources, maintenance equipment, and tools are being utilized safely, effectively, and efficiently.
• Promotes Maintenance Team involvement in problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Participates in long-term planning for major projects, equipment installations, or facility or property improvements.
• Follows all predictive and preventative maintenance schedules on all plant equipment and facilities.
• Perform and document as required inspections on safety equipment, process, and material handling equipment.
• Ability to safely and effectively diagnose a variety of electronic and electrical equipment. Includes but is not limited to PLCs, numerical controls, power supplies, and drives.
• Aptitude to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and systems.
• Dismantle machines, equipment, and various devices to assess, troubleshoot and remove and replace defective parts or other components.
• Communicates with Department Lead, Supervisor, or Manager when maintenance tasks or projects are complete.
• Conducts inspections of maintenance projects and completed work.
• Performs ground and building maintenance as needed.
• Assists other members of the maintenance team with troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Ability to fabricate or assist in fabrication work.
• Records all necessary data on work orders, PMs, and inspection forms.
• General filing and paperwork as needed.
• Special projects and other duties as assigned by the Company.
Requirements
Skills / Abilities - Qualifications:
• Excellent leadership skills and abilities.
• Electrical knowledge including but is not limited to 480V - 3 phase systems, motors, MCC’s, VFD’s as well as a variety of 120V single-phase systems and analog control loops.
• Experience in a metal forming, fabrication, welding, and machining environment.
• Aptitude with instrumentation calibration.
• Displays a positive attitude and disposition.
• Results-oriented with a strong desire to succeed.
• Ability to comprehend and understand verbal and written communications and directions.
• Capable of effectively communicating changes to employees.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.

Education / Training: · High School Degree or GED required.· Technical training or certifications preferred.· Associates degree a plus.
