Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - SEN School Enfield ASAP Start Location: Enfield, North London Job Type: Full-time, Long-term Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday Start Date: September Learning Support Assistant - SEN School Remedy Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a well-established specialist SEN school in Enfield . This is a fantastic opportunity to work with children and young people with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Speech and Language needs, and complex learning needs . The school provides a supportive and nurturing environment where every pupil is encouraged to achieve their full potential. The Role • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups across the school. • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons. • Support pupils with their communication, social, emotional and academic development. • Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation. • Use visual resources, sensory activities and communication aids where appropriate. • Encourage pupils' independence and confidence both inside and outside the classroom. • Work closely with teachers, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team. • Assist with personal care where required (training provided if necessary). The Ideal Candidate • Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Care Worker or Support Worker. • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, particularly Autism, ADHD, SEMH or complex needs. • A patient, caring and resilient approach. • Strong communication and teamwork skills. • Passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning. • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one).
