Description
Veterinary Care and Specialty Group (VCSG) in Chattanooga, Tennessee, is looking for a  Relief/Locum Criticalist  to join our team from  September through December 2026.  We are open to complete coverage during those dates, as well as candidates interested in covering recurring or one-off date ranges to help our team during maternity leave.  This is a great opportunity for a board-certified or residency-trained criticalist who enjoys practicing high-level medicine in a collaborative specialty hospital while maintaining the flexibility of a short-term relief position. Whether you're looking to fill a gap between permanent roles, explore a new region, or simply enjoy locum work, we'd love to connect. VCSG is one of the Southeast's leading specialty and emergency hospitals, offering 24/7 emergency care alongside surgery, internal medicine, neurology, cardiology, medical and radiation oncology, rehabilitation, and more. Our critical care service is highly integrated within the hospital, and our specialists work closely together to provide exceptional patient care. You'll have access to advanced equipment and resources, including MRI, CT, ventilator support, ultrasound, digital radiology, an on-site blood bank, and a dedicated team of experienced technicians and specialists. We pride ourselves on being a supportive, team-oriented hospital where collaboration is encouraged and everyone's expertise is valued. We're looking for someone who enjoys managing challenging critical care cases, communicates well with colleagues and clients, and thrives in a fast-paced specialty environment.  Located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, Chattanooga offers easy access to hiking, biking, paddling, great restaurants, and a vibrant downtown scene, making it an ideal destination for a locum assignment. If you're interested in spending time with a friendly, highly skilled team while practicing exceptional medicine, we'd love to hear from you.
