I am working with a London Local Authority to hire a Locum Lawyer for an initial 3 month contract (with a high possibility to extend) to lead the transition of outsourced legal work back in-house I am seeking a Senior Contracts and Procurement Lawyer to lead the transition of outsourced legal work back in-house. The role involves advising on complex commercial contracts, procurement processes, and public sector governance. • You will manage contract drafting, negotiation, and risk assessment across a range of council services. • Support procurement teams on compliance with public procurement regulations and best practice. • Advise on contract management frameworks, dispute resolution, and service-level agreements. • Work closely with senior stakeholders to shape internal legal service delivery. • Ensure legal robustness in commissioning, tendering, and contract award procedures. • Contribute to policy development and internal training on procurement law.
