This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for an experienced Housekeeper looking to join a warm and welcoming family in a beautiful countryside setting. Summary A lovely family based near Newbury, Berkshire are looking for an experienced, proactive and hands-on Housekeeper to join their household on a long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys maintaining a high standard throughout a large family home and is happy to work as part of an established household team. The Household Two parents Four children aged 8, 6, 5 and 3 Full-time nanny employed Cleaner employed three days per week Dogs Large seven-bedroom family home with swimming pool and extensive grounds Accommodation For live-in candidates, excellent accommodation is provided in a separate three-bedroom cottage, located less than five minutes from the main house. The cottage includes: Three bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, sitting room and private garden. Well-behaved dogs are welcome. Job Specification General housekeeping throughout the property Cleaning and maintaining a high standard throughout the home Laundry and ironing Caring for silverware and polishing silver Looking after antique furniture and delicate household items Supporting the nanny with children’s laundry and housekeeping duties Keeping the home organised and running smoothly Occasional dog sitting when required Working alongside the existing household staff as part of a team Candidate Specification Experienced as a private Housekeeper Confident working in large private properties Experienced caring for silverware and antique furniture Happy to be hands-on and muck in wherever needed Independent, organised and proactive A confident driver with a full driving licence Friendly, flexible and happy working as part of a household team DBS check required How to apply: Applying for this position: Please email your interest in this position to [email protected] Please ensure you include the reference number for the position you are applying for (found at the top of the advert).
