Working for a couple who are relocating overseas and are looking for a trustworthy housekeeper caretaker to come and live in a stunning one bed cottage and care for the interior of their large country home in the Ribble Valley keeping in it show condition. The role will be on a rolling contract but with a good 3 months notice once the house sells which is not expected to be fast. Must be a driver and an animal lover as they have two super dogs. When they are in residence to help them in the house with some light meals would be welcome. £40k plus cottage - suitable for one person no dependents There is a gardener. • General and thorough cleaning of large 7 bedroomed home • Maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen • Cleaning and sanitising toilets, showers/bathtubs and sinks • Cleaning and polishing brass, silver, care of antiques and fine furniture • Cleaning mirrors and other glass surfaces • Cleaning internal windows • Laundry and ironing including all family laundry, bedding and hand washing. • Making beds and changing linen • Shopping for the family – keeping the fridge and cupboards fully stocked • Wardrobe management, packing and unpacking suitcases • Meeting and greeting guests, answering the house phone • Food preparation and assistance with healthy and nutritious cooking • Running errands and organising the home • Steaming and cleaning drapes, soft furnishes • Helping with the family dogs feeding and walking • Replenishing household supplies as and when required • House and pet sitting in absence of owners • Carrying out other tasks as reasonably required
