We are seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our accomplished team at the Law Offices of Chip Forstall. This crucial role supports our mission of delivering justice and comprehensive legal advocacy to New Orleans residents by ensuring smooth case management and detailed litigation support. Your contributions will empower our attorneys to focus on strategic legal advocacy, knowing that every detail is meticulously managed from start to finish. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will be an integral part of enhancing our client’s legal journey and achieving successful case resolutions.
What you’ll do:
Case Management: Manage litigation case files following the pre-litigation handoff, ensuring all files remain organized, current, and prepared for each stage of the litigation process.
Calendar Coordination: Manage litigation timelines by scheduling hearings, deadlines, and appointments, minimizing the risk of oversight.
Document Preparation: Draft legal documents, correspondence, and memos for attorney review, maintaining accuracy and compliance with court standards.
Court Filings: File court documents promptly and accurately, ensuring adherence to all local jurisdiction protocols.
Team Support: Collaborate with attorneys and the litigation team to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure a balanced workload.
Workflow Organization: Assist in organizing and managing the litigation attorney’s workflow, keeping actions aligned with case priorities and deadlines.
Problem Anticipation: Identify potential issues before they arise, proactively suggesting solutions to maintain momentum and avoid delays.
What we’re looking for:
Litigation Experience: 2–7 years of experience in litigation paralegal roles, with a preference for experience in personal injury or familiarity with Louisiana courts.
Organizational Skills: Exceptional organization and detail orientation to manage case files, timelines, and documentation effectively.
Technological Proficiency: Comfortable learning proprietary legal software a
