List Management Analyst (3 month contract) We are looking for a SQL and R-skilled analyst / developer for a 3 month contract who can join our team to help with the automation of our marketing list management process. There is big potential to improve this process and optimise how this process drives several of our most important marketing channels. This person will be able to learn quickly and take on the running of an existing SQL and R process and work with an engineer to make improvements on how we can automate and improve this process. The Role: • Quickly building, understanding and taking on the running of a complex and key process for our business • Appreciating the wide variety of data sources in use, and working to build an integrated view of them • Creating documentation and diagrams that explain the process and being able to communicate this to other analysts and engineers • Making improvements to the process e.g. SQL tuning, process improvements, automations • Working with an engineer to more fully automate the process – making suggestions on how it could be structured and improved • Working with Customer Analytics and Marketing stakeholders to understand the wider context of the process within the business You’ve been there and done this… • Strong SQL and R query/development skills (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL) • Ability to quickly learn complex processes • Experience of working with marketing/contact lists • Query tuning and optimisation skills • Good understanding of ETL processes and data pipelines • Understanding data quality and how we can track and improve it • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical people • Understanding different data formats (JSON, XML etc) It would be great if you’ve also had… • Any software development experience is extremely beneficial (Ruby, Python, Java etc) • Experience working with an Agile development team • Data modelling skills • Data remediation experience • Prior list management experience in a financial services firm FCJOBS
