About the Role We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Linux System Engineer to join our infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing mission-critical Linux environments that support business operations. You will work closely with infrastructure, cloud, network, security, and application teams to ensure the highest levels of availability, performance, and security across the organization. Key Responsibilities Manage, maintain, and support large-scale Linux server environments. Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot Linux operating systems. Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity. Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex technical incidents. Implement security hardening, patch management, and compliance standards. Automate operational tasks using scripting and configuration management tools. Support virtualization, storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions. Participate in infrastructure projects, migrations, and upgrades. Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures. Collaborate with network, cloud, security, and application teams to deliver reliable infrastructure services. Must-Have Minimum 5 years of experience as a Linux System Engineer. Strong expertise in Linux distributions such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu, Debian, Rocky Linux, or CentOS. Experience managing enterprise Linux environments. Strong knowledge of Bash scripting. Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Ansible. Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Nutanix. Solid understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and Load Balancing. Experience with backup, storage, and disaster recovery solutions. Knowledge of Linux security best practices, patch management, and system hardening. Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Nagios, Icinga, Grafana, or Prometheus. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Fluent in English. Nice-to-Have Red Hat certifications (RHCSA, RHCE). Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC). Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with Satellite, Puppet, Foreman, or similar management platforms. Experience with High Availability (HA) and clustering technologies.
