Job Description You'll use your clinical nursing experience to provide direct patient care across outpatient primary care and specialty clinics serving Veterans. Working alongside physicians, registered nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams, you'll deliver skilled nursing care, administer medications, monitor patient conditions, educate patients and families, and help ensure safe, coordinated care throughout the clinic visit. Schedule: Full-Time | 8–10-Hour Shifts Compensation: • $25–$27 USD per hour • Health & Welfare (H&W): Up to $5.09 per hour, in accordance with the Service Contract Act (SCA) Key Responsibilities • Provide skilled nursing care in primary care and specialty outpatient clinics, with support in acute care medical/surgical and outpatient laboratory areas as needed. • Administer oral, topical, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous medications in accordance with approved policies, monitor patient responses, and promptly communicate changes in condition to the healthcare team. • Monitor vital signs, document patient histories and clinical observations, maintain accurate medical records, and collaborate in developing and implementing patient care plans. • Educate patients and their families on health management, disease prevention, and medications while supporting positive patient experiences through compassionate communication. • Assist with wound care, minor procedures, activities of daily living when needed, emergency response, and maintaining a clean, safe clinical environment that supports quality patient care. • Collaborate with physicians, registered nurses, and interdisciplinary team members while participating in ongoing professional development and organizational quality and compliance initiatives.
