About the Role:
The Licensing and Credentialing Specialist plays a vital role in Main Street Health to bridge the gap between providers, regulatory agencies and payers. We are looking for someone with a true customer service mindset who takes pride in creating exceptional experiences. This work supports the growth of our teams, ensuring providers are properly qualified, authorized and set up for success to work with our partners without unnecessary delays.
Responsibilities:
Verify healthcare providers’ education, licenses, certifications, training, work history, professional references to ensure patients receive care from qualified professionals
Maintain accurate and up-to-date provider records to meet the standards of accrediting bodies, government agencies and insurance companies
Ensure providers hold valid, active licenses in states they practice
Maintain organized records to protect against legal, financial and reputational risks
Track expiration dates for licenses, certifications, DEA registrations, malpractice insurance and other required documents to ensure providers remain eligible to practice
Maintain a streamlined credentialing process to enable new providers, nurses and health professionals to minimize the staffing gap and improve access to care for patients
Working closely with partners to take ownership of challenges and goes above and beyond to deliver thoughtful, timely and personalized service
Coach, mentor or guide team members with a commitment to developing others and leading by example
Qualifications:
Active CPCS Certification, preferred
HS Diploma required
3+ years in healthcare licensing and credentialing
Track record of exceeding expectations
Comfortable making decisions, managing priorities and leading by example
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently while maintain accuracy and attention to detail
