Business unit Founders Series Salary $90,000-$130,000 Schedule Full-time Lockton Benefits Offerings Click Here Workplace In Office Your Responsibilities RESPONSIBILITIES: • Serves as an advocate for Lockton clients through the claim process, while respecting the client’s and Lockton’s relationship with the insurance carrier. Claim issues subject to advocacy may include: • Coverage • Investigation • Loss valuation • Reserving • Settlement • Communication • Serves as a consultant to assigned clients in managing all aspects of their liability claims program to include but not limited to: • Managing the claims relationship with the client and Lockton. • Assisting client in developing the structure and procedures for their internal claim management processes. • Evaluating and managing the quality of claim services provided by the insurance carrier or third party administrator (TPA). • Coordinating the TPA RFP process including the written and oral presentation process, transition from incumbent to newly selected TPA, assisting in creating claim handling instructions, and advocating on behalf of the client with any service issues that may arise. • Evaluating claim trends through loss history and use of data. • Coordinating, participating, and presenting in client meetings. • Coordinates and participates in client/insurance carrier claim reviews. • Coordinates and participates in client claim quality audits. • Develops service plans as appropriate. • Attends staff meetings, unit meetings, educational workshops, carrier functions, and social functions as needed. • Plans and administers peer coaching. Qualifications REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor’s degree in business-related field or equivalent education and/or work experience. • Proficiency in the evaluation, interpretation and communication to the client casualty insurance coverage. • Property claims experience and medical malpractice claims experience coverage knowledge a plus. • Ability to professionally interact with businesspersons of all levels and succinctly communicate information and strategies. • Substantial knowledge of the practices and procedures of insurance carriers and third party administrators, and the skill to effectively develop long term partnerships that meet client expectations and needs. • Proven experience in the evaluation of the accuracy of claim reserving practices. • Organizational and time management skills that enable you to successfully prioritize a sometimes-heavy workload to meet time sensitive deadlines. • Ability to work with current technology including Lockton proprietary software, claims and risk management information systems, Microsoft – Word, Excel, & PowerPoint products, with little instruction. • Proven leadership and critical thinking skills, and the ability to resolve unusual and complex issues. • A keen ability to negotiate with all parties involved in the claim management process, and effectively influence positive outcomes. • Compliance with established Lockton ethical business standards. Fundación Cuenta Conmigo is a nonprofit foundation created to support low-income families with a family member suffering from cancer in the Chilean public health system. Specifically, the foundation assists families navigating the process of their child’s cancer treatment. This includes covering expenses and helping address needs that are not supported by the State or other non-governmental institutions. This organization is near and dear to Ana Wainer’s heart. Her son, Dante’s, close friend, Vicente, was diagnosed with pre-leukemia at age 9. After long and exhausting treatment, he underwent a bone marrow transplant. Unfortunately, it was not successful. Vicente later relapsed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, "a diagnosis that profoundly changed the lives of his family and of all of us who knew him and accompanied them throughout the process,” Ana says. At age 11, after a long and courageous battle, Vincente passed away. “Despite the deep sorrow, Vicente left us invaluable life lessons and opened our eyes to a reality that often remains invisible to much of society,” Ana says. Shortly after his passing in March 2019, Vicente’s parents founded Fundación Cuenta Conmigo in 2020.
