Description
We are currently seeking Leveraged Finance Lawyers to work with a variety of Axiom clients across financial services, private equity, investment, corporate, and other industry sectors, supporting complex leveraged finance, acquisition finance, private credit, sponsor-backed lending, refinancing, and cross-border financing matters. Responsibilities: Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice on leveraged finance transactions, including acquisition finance, private credit, sponsor-backed lending, refinancing, leveraged buyouts, recapitalisations, and cross-border financing matters. Advise lenders, borrowers, private equity sponsors, credit funds, financial institutions, arrangers, and corporate stakeholders on complex financing arrangements, including syndicated facilities, bilateral loans, covenant packages, and debt structuring. Draft, review, and negotiate leveraged finance documentation, including LMA-based facility agreements, commitment letters, intercreditor agreements, security documents, guarantees, ancillary finance documents, and other transaction documentation. Partner with legal, finance, treasury, investment, commercial, risk, external counsel, and deal teams to support domestic and international transactions, manage legal risk, and deliver pragmatic advice in fast-paced deal environments. Minimum Qualifications: Qualified lawyer eligible to practise in the UK, or equivalent overseas qualification with strong leveraged finance, acquisition finance, private credit, sponsor-backed lending, corporate lending, or debt finance experience. Experience advising on leveraged finance transactions, including acquisition finance, sponsor-backed lending, private credit, refinancing, leveraged buyouts, recapitalisations, syndicated facilities, bilateral loans, or cross-border finance matters. Strong drafting, review, and negotiation experience across leveraged finance documentation, LMA-based facility agreements, intercreditor agreements, security packages, guarantees, commitment letters, ancillary finance documents, or other lending documentation. Excellent commercial awareness, negotiation, drafting, stakeholder management, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to deliver practical, business-focused advice to lenders, borrowers, sponsors, financial institutions, and corporate stakeholders.
