Level 3 Residential Support Worker - Children's Residential Home Salary: (dependent on experience) + Sleep-in payments + Overtime availableLocation: WolverhamptonHours: Full-time | 40 hours per week | Shift work including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins + overtime is avaliable.Help Change a Child's FutureWe are seeking experienced, compassionate and resilient Level 3 Residential Support Workers to join our dedicated team supporting children and young people with Learning Disabilities (LD) and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).Our homes provide a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment where children can thrive, build independence and achieve positive outcomes. If you are passionate about making a genuine difference and have the skills to support young people with complex needs, we'd love to hear from you.The RoleAs a Residential Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, child-centred care, promoting emotional wellbeing, safety and development. Working as part of a supportive team, you will help young people develop life skills, build positive relationships and achieve their individual goals.Every day is different, and you'll play an active role in supporting education, daily routines, recreational activities, family contact and independent living skills.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide safe, consistent and nurturing care in line with children's care plans.Support children with Learning Disabilities, Autism, ADHD and Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties.Build trusting relationships that promote emotional resilience and positive behaviour.Use trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches to manage behaviours that challenge.Promote education, independence, social skills and community participation.Administer medication where trained and authorised.Maintain accurate daily records, incident reports and care documentation.Work collaboratively with social workers, education providers, healthcare professionals and families.Safeguard children and promote their welfare at all times.Participate in team meetings, supervision and continuous professional development.Essential RequirementsApplicants must hold one of the following qualifications:Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare, orA recognised Level 3 qualification in Children & Young People's Workforce, Health & Social Care, Childcare, or another equivalent qualification that is accepted for working within children's residential care.You will also need:Experience supporting children or young people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, EBD or other complex needs.A sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection.Strong communication and teamwork skills.A calm, patient and resilient approach.Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and sleep-ins.A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.What We OfferCompetitive salary.Enhanced sleep-in payments.Overtime opportunities.Comprehensive induction and ongoing training.Funded specialist training in Learning Disabilities, Autism, Positive Behaviour Support and Trauma-Informed Care.Opportunities for career progression.Company pension scheme.Employee Assistance Programme.Annual leave entitlement.Recognition and reward schemes.Supportive management team with regular supervision.SafeguardingWe are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
