On behalf of Boskalis, we are recruiting a Legal Counsel Offshore Energy for their headquarters in Papendrecht. You will guide the projects through every stage The Position As Legal Counsel Offshore Energy you will join the global Business Legal team and act as the principal legal adviser to management and project teams within the Offshore Energy division. You will work on a wide variety of challenging and high-profile projects e.g. developing an offshore windfarm, the transport of an FPSO or IRM or work at various oil & gas fields. You will guide the projects through every stage: from tender and contract negotiation to execution and, when needed, dispute resolution. You will be involved in: • Reviewing, drafting and negotiating complex contracts (cooperation agreements, vessel chartering, procurement, project contracts) • Providing legal support during project execution and, when necessary, arbitration or litigation • Advising project teams and management on risk mitigation, compliance and legal strategy • Monitoring developments in legislation and case law relevant to offshore energy and maritime law Within the division Offshore Energy, you are the go-to person for legal inquiries for management and project management teams of one of the business units within the Offshore Energy division. You will become part of a global legal team of over 30 professionals, a dynamic, international and multidisciplinary environment where you can broaden your legal expertise. You are a hands-on, business-oriented legal professional The Profile You are a hands-on, business-oriented legal professional, comfortable balancing legal sharpness with commercial reality. You have: • A Master’s degree in Law • 6+ years of relevant experience as in-house counsel or lawyer, preferably in an international context • Solid knowledge of contract law and construction law, maritime or energy law is a strong plus • Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus) • A pragmatic mindset, good judgment and strong collaboration skills • Willingness to travel occasionally Boskalis offers a competitive compensation package The Offer Boskalis offers a competitive compensation package, complemented by attractive secondary benefits.
