Legal Counsel Rome, Italy If you are looking for a challenging in-house Legal Counsel role at the Italian subsidiary of a leading multinational group operating in the IT, telecommunications and renewable energy products sectors, this may be the opportunity you have been looking for. The role offers direct exposure to senior management, high-visibility projects and valuable opportunities for professional growth within a dynamic international environment. The selected candidate will join Huawei Italy’s Legal Department and will report directly to the Head of Legal. The Legal Counsel will provide practical, business-oriented legal support across the company’s Italian operations, with a particular focus on IT/TMT contracting, corporate matters and day-to-day legal advice to business stakeholders. Main Responsibilities: Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial and operational agreements in English and Italian, including distribution, sales, supply, services, procurement, marketing, partnership, NDA, framework and finance-related agreements, with a strong focus on the ICT, telecommunications and renewable energy products sectors. Provide legal support on IT/TMT transactions and contracting models, working closely with sales, procurement, delivery, finance and other internal stakeholders to enable compliant and efficient business execution. Support corporate and governance matters for the Italian subsidiary, including corporate documentation, powers of attorney, board/shareholder-related matters, internal approvals and implementation of group policies at local level. Advise on commercial, civil law, business law and regulatory matters arising from the company’s daily operations, including the legal impact of legislative and regulatory developments relevant to IT, telecoms and technology products. Prepare, update and review official documents, internal policies, templates, legal opinions, awareness materials and management briefings. Support compliance activities, including matters relating to Legislative Decree 231/2001, anti-bribery, competition law, trade secrets protection, GDPR and internal compliance policies. Contribute to cross-functional projects requiring legal input, including projects with high visibility before local management and, where relevant, European or group-level stakeholders. Provide legal support to other European platforms or group functions as needed. Develop a sound understanding of complex and innovative business models, providing proactive, pragmatic and solution-oriented legal advice. Requirements: Law degree Admission to the Italian Bar shall be considered a plus.
