Pramac is looking for a Legal Counsel to join the team.
Role Summary
The Legal Counsel will provide practical, business-oriented legal support to the Company's operations while ensuring compliance with local laws and the policies and governance standards of the global group. The role will work closely with business stakeholders in India and collaborate with the Regional General Manager and global legal team on commercial, corporate, regulatory, and compliance matters.
Key Responsibilities
• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a broad range of commercial contracts.
• Provide legal advice on commercial, corporate, employment, regulatory, and compliance matters under Indian law.
• Support corporate governance, statutory compliance, and company secretarial matters in coordination with external advisers.
• Advise on legal and regulatory developments affecting the business and support implementation of global policies.
• Manage disputes and coordinate with external counsel as required.
• Support business projects, transactions, and cross-border initiatives.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks while providing commercially practical solutions.
• Deliver legal training and promote a culture of compliance and ethical business conduct.
Qualifications & Experience
• LL.B. and qualified to practice law in India.
• Approximately 5–8 years' post-qualification experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department.
• Strong knowledge of Indian commercial and corporate law.
• Experience supporting multinational businesses is preferred.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English.
