Why you will love this opportunity as Legal Counsel at Civica We're looking for a Legal Counsel to join Civica's growing legal team, supporting a broad range of commercial, intellectual property, technology and data protection matters across the business. This is an outstanding opportunity for a lawyer with 1-4 years PQE who enjoys variety, wants exposure to senior stakeholders and is excited by the pace and opportunity that comes with a business undergoing significant transformation.  Reporting directly to our Group Legal Director, you'll receive exceptional mentoring and support whilst also being trusted to take ownership of your own work. This is a role that offers the best of both worlds: the opportunity to learn from experienced legal leaders while developing the autonomy and commercial judgement expected of a successful in-house lawyer.  As a private equity backed global GovTech business, Civica continues to invest heavily in growth, innovation and transformation. You'll play an important role in supporting a business that serves customers across the UK and APAC, giving you international exposure whilst remaining predominantly UK focused.  Key Responsibilities:  Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial, technology, licensing and framework agreements.  Advise on intellectual property matters, including licensing, trademarks and brand protection.  Support data protection, compliance and incident management across the business.  Partner with stakeholders across the UK, Australia and India to provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice.  Contribute to business-critical projects, including technology transformation, procurement, corporate governance and M&A activity.   Requirements Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 1-4 years' PQE.  Strong experience in commercial contracts, ideally gained within a technology-focused or commercial practice.  Exposure to intellectual property and data protection matters, with experience advising on licensing arrangements highly desirable.  Training gained within a leading City, national or international law firm; in-house experience is advantageous but not essential.  Commercially minded, with the ability to balance legal risk and business objectives.  Confident communicator who can translate complex legal issues into clear, pragmatic advice for a range of stakeholders.  Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and enjoys working collaboratively across the business.  Why You'll Love Working with Us    As a company, we're passionate about what we do and the citizens we serve.
