Description Lead Teacher – Young Threes/Older Toddlers (Full-Time) Lake Area Discovery Center – Multiple Twin City Locations Lake Area Discovery Center (LADC) is hiring Full-Time Lead Teachers to lead classrooms of Young Three-Year-Olds or Older Toddlers at our Twin Cities Metro locations. As a Lead Teacher, you'll create a warm, engaging classroom where young children learn through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships. You'll work alongside a supportive team of assistant teachers and receive paid daily prep time to plan high-quality learning experiences. Lead Teachers collaborate with on-site and regional teaching teams to develop monthly curriculum, share classroom resources, participate in continuing education, and grow as instructional leaders. Salary & Benefits • 12-month salary: $50,000-$60,000 (based on education and experience) • 9-month teaching option available for teachers who do not teach during the summer • 64 hours Paid Time Off • Paid Holidays • Paid In-Service and Non-Student Days • Health Benefits • $500 Annual Continuing Education Credit • Paid daily prep time • Ongoing leadership development and professional learning Qualifications • Meet Minnesota DHS Lead Teacher qualifications • Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred • Experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children • Passion for creating engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences • Strong communication and teamwork skills • Salary based on education and experience About Lake Area Discovery Center Since 1999, Lake Area Discovery Center has partnered with churches and schools throughout the Twin Cities to provide exceptional early childhood education for children ages 6 weeks through PreKindergarten . Today, LADC serves families at 18 locations , combining high-quality early learning with faith formation in caring school communities. LADC has been a NAEYC Nationally Accredited and 4-Star Parent Aware program since 2009. Requirements Job Requirements • Meet Minnesota DHS Lead Teacher qualifications for an early childhood classroom • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field (preferred) • Experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children in a licensed early childhood setting • Ability to plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum • Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills • Ability to lead and collaborate with assistant teachers as part of a teaching team • Commitment to building positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers • Ability to meet Minnesota DHS licensing requirements and successfully complete a background study Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field • Minnesota Teaching License (Birth–Grade 3 or PreK–Grade 3) • Experience leading a classroom or mentoring other teachers • Knowledge of play-based learning, authentic assessment, and early childhood best practices • Interest in teaching in a Christian, faith-based early childhood program
