About This Role We are looking for a high-agency Lead Product Manager to own the monetization strategy and product execution for Wati’s AI portfolio. Based in Shenzhen, you will work closely with our engineering teams in China, our product organization in India, and global Finance, Data, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams. Your primary mandate is to turn customer value from AI into durable, scalable revenue. You will own AI pricing and packaging, monetization mechanics, revenue growth, and gross-margin performance. Activation, adoption, and retention are important supporting metrics because sustainable monetization starts with customers reaching value. This is a hands-on individual-contributor role with significant cross-functional influence. You will move from customer research and commercial analysis to product requirements, experiments, launches, and post-launch iteration. What You’ll Own AI Pricing & Packaging Define and evolve Wati’s AI pricing architecture across subscription, usage, credits, add-ons, and outcome-based models. Develop clear packages, entitlements, quotas, overages, trials, and upgrade paths for different customer segments and use cases. Lead willingness-to-pay research, competitive analysis, pricing experiments, and packaging validation. Create a coherent monetization strategy across AI agents, automation, messaging, and adjacent platform capabilities. Revenue & Gross Margin Own the product levers that drive AI revenue, paid conversion, expansion, and gross margin. Build a clear view of AI unit economics, including inference costs, cost to serve, usage patterns, and contribution margin. Partner with Finance and Data to establish forecasting, reporting, and decision frameworks for monetization performance. Identify and prioritize opportunities to improve revenue quality without compromising customer trust or long-term adoption. Monetization Platform & Execution Translate pricing strategy into scalable product capabilities, including metering, entitlements, billing events, usage visibility, limits, and cost controls. Work with Engineering to define reliable data flows and system behavior across product, billing, finance, and go-to-market tooling. Design transparent customer experiences for plan selection, trials, usage, upgrades, overages, and renewal. Ensure new AI capabilities launch with a clear value metric, commercial hypothesis, instrumentation plan, and margin model. Adoption & Retention Improve activation and time to first value for paid AI capabilities. Use product and commercial data to identify friction, segment behavior, and expansion opportunities. Partner with Growth, Customer Success, and Sales on experiments that increase qualified adoption and durable retention. Treat adoption and retention as inputs to sustainable monetization rather than isolated growth goals. Cross-functional Leadership Set the AI monetization roadmap and create alignment across Product, Engineering, Finance, Data, Design, and GTM. Act as the day-to-day product bridge between engineering teams in China, the product organization in India,
