Description
REAKTOR’S AWARD-WINNING TECH AND DESIGN COMMUNITY IS LOOKING FOR A SENIOR PRODUCT DESIGNER TO JOIN OUR AMSTERDAM OFFICE.
You understand how to sell creative work — grounding every choice in brand strategy, user insight, and business value.
If you enjoy turning strategic insights into elegant, effective design solutions — and thrive on crafting interactive experiences that blend form and function — you might be just who we’re looking for.
As a Lead Product Designer at Reaktor, you create visuals that make clients want to buy into your ideas. You’ll design thoughtful, intuitive, and impactful digital experiences that drive real-world outcomes for some of the world’s industry-leading airlines. You’ll shape ideas, bring clarity to complex challenges, and collaborate closely with clients and cross-functional teams to turn strategy into standout execution.
At its core, Reaktor is a technology company that helps ambitious organizations become digital leaders. From premium software development to award-winning in-flight entertainment system, our global community of experts does it all.
YOUR DAILY TASKS INCLUDE:
- Leading the design of product experiences across digital touchpoints, from strategy to final pixel
- Working side by side with developers, strategists, and product owners to co-create holistic solutions
- Conceptualizing and prototyping new features and flows to test, validate, and sell ideas
- Bringing a strong visual point of view — from brand systems and typography to motion and transitions
- Presenting creative directions clearly and persuasively to both clients and internal teams
- Participating in workshops and collaborative sessions to uncover insights and shape vision
- Maintaining a balance between high-level design leadership and hands-on execution
YOU LOVE SOLVING DESIGN PROBLEMS WITH CRAFT, LOGIC, AND COLLABORATION.
To thrive in this position, you’ll need:
- 8+ years of experience in digital product design, preferably within fast-paced consultancy or client-facing environments (This is a guideline and not a hard requirement)
- The ability to think conceptually and strategically, connecting business goals to design decisions
- Confidence in selling your work through compelling storytelling and rationale
- Immaculate taste and a sharp eye for visual design across layout, typography, and UI systems
- Strong interaction design skills and a clear understanding of user flow logic and responsive behavior
- Fluency in modern design tools (e.g. Figma, Adobe Creative Suite) and familiarity with prototyping or motion tools
- Experience working in interdisciplinary teams with developers, strategists, and copywriters
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and proactively shaping briefs or concepts from scratch
- Curiosity, humility, and a constant appetite for learning and evolving your craft
- Experience with working in the airline industry is highly valued but not required
- Fluent English language skills, with fluent Dutch being a nice-to-have but certainly not compulsory
- The ability to work in-person with your colleagues and client. We have no set limits for days per week in person, but it is important you understand that this is not a fully remote role
WHY JOIN US?
For two decades, we’ve been developing qualities and capabilities for adapting, reacting, and supporting change – building Reaktor to hold up in a fast-paced environment while ensuring the well-being of our people.
While working at Reaktor, we’ll provide you with:
- The ability to impact how you work. Together with the client, your team chooses the approach, technologies, and methodologies you think will work best in any given situation
- A community with as much support as your heart desires
