Description
AA Euro Group are currently seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer for a data centre fit out job located just outside of Copenhagen, Netherlands. This is a full-time permanent position with a competitive salary/package on offer, dependent on experience.
The Lead Electrical Engineer is responsible for the technical leadership, design coordination, and delivery oversight of all electrical systems within a large?scale data centre project. This role ensures that power infrastructure is delivered to the highest standards, while guiding multidisciplinary teams through all project phases, from pre-construction to commissioning and final handover to the client`s operations team.
Key Responsibilities
• As lead electrical engineer you will manage all engineering functions on the project and provide technical support and direction to the electrical engineering team.
• Identify, undertake and manage key detailed tasks such as CDP requirements.
• Develop a strong and maintain and working relationship with all project stakeholders.
• Issue weekly / monthly progress reports on all engineering activities and attend internal review meetings.
• Information reporting will be an essential activity to ensure activity targets/deadlines are met to support the project team. There will be an Engineering Task Log generated and managed by the Engineering Lead.
• Familiarisation of Design/IFC specifications and drawings to fully understand the scope of the Project works.
• Overseeing the Co-ordination process to transform design information into full installation drawings by BIM personnel ensuring spec compliance and as per schedule priority. This will require generation/management of Requests for Information (RFI).
• Manage BIM priorities i.e. support team to develop modular concepts, Typical fabrication details and Isometrics generation and to release for construction. Validation of materi-als/assets within the model are also to be verified for construction. Change management is a critical process to be understood and controlled.
• Evaluate and promote the use of new engineering practices and processes to enhance de-livery time of the project.
• Familiarisation with the Project schedule and ensuring Engineering activities do not im-pact on same (e.g. Procurement, etc).
• Management of the technical submittal and associated approvals.
• Assessment of Sub-contract and Supplier Tender returns for technical compliance with design intent specifications.
• Preparing Sub-contract and Supplier Tender Packages in conjunction with Project QS.
• Attend Project Meetings as required.
• Management of Sub-contractors and ensuring adequate information flow to ensure works progress in line with the Project Schedule and Weekly Meeting logged.
• Assisting the Construction Team to manage the quality needs for the project on site, providing guidance to ensure we are compliant to all relevant standards/codes and specifi-cations associated. This will include all site activities associated with validation and hand-over to the client.
• Manage the Construction Work Packs process from development, implementation and handover. This onsite to support our construction management team.
• Ensure Works are installed in accordance with Project specifications and to the Project QA plan (for e.g. pre-agreed benchmarking).
• Preparation and agreeing project completion criteria and close out documents.
• Provide sign off on all electrical installations as the Technically Responsible Person in accordance with the local authoritys requirements.
• You will be responsible to support and coach all engineers assigned to the project team their development is crucial to our organisation and industry.
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications
• Minimum of 7 years experience working with an MEP contractor on data centre / mission critical projects.
• Proven experience as a senior electrical engineer.
• Third level qualification in Electrical Engineering.
