Position Overview: T he Lead Capital Equipment Technician  serves as the senior technical resource for the  RPS technician  team, ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of  Velo3D's  metal additive manufacturing equipment.  This  position provides day-to-day technical leadership by mentoring technicians, training new employees, coordinating maintenance priorities, and supporting production to maximize printer uptime and on-time delivery.   The Lead Technician performs advanced troubleshooting and repairs across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and software-controlled systems while helping  allocate  team resources and ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and  in accordance with   company standards. This position works cross-functionally to  maintain  equipment readiness and minimize production downtime.
