This role blends artistry and precision to help honor loved ones through thoughtful, respectful, and visually beautiful layouts. Key Responsibilities: Create and prepare headstone layouts using vector and raster design software Design with sensitivity to tone, legibility, and layout balance Work closely with families, sales staff, and production to finalize designs Modify and prepare files for stone engraving Maintain organized project files and revisions Required Skills & Experience: Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop Experience with Gerber Omega software is a strong plus A strong eye for composition, typography, and visual balance Ability to translate written inscriptions into elegant visual layouts Comfortable working in a production-driven environment with tight deadlines Experience in memorial or monument design is a plus but not required Ideal Candidate Traits: Highly detail-oriented with a respect for the emotional weight of the work A good listener and communicator, especially when working with sensitive material Flexible and adaptable to feedback from clients and internal staff Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects To Apply: Please submit your resume, a brief cover letter, and samples of your design work (especially relevant layouts, typographic work, or memorial/print examples if available) to marcia @vjmemorials.com Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00+ per hour, depending on experience Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Schedule: * Tuesday to Saturday Ability to Commute: Chino, CA 91710 (Required)
