What does a landscape plant maintenance crew member do? • Maintain landscaped areas and plant material on residential and commercial properties. Pruning, mulching, weeding, cutbacks, and cleanups on a regular schedule and as needed. • Assist with landscape install and tree work as needed/seasonally. • Work well independently as well as on a team while caring for customer properties. • Interact professionally with customers on a daily basis communicating the process and expectations of services. • Possess a general knowledge of plant maintenance practices. • Continue on the job training for all aspects of RYAN provided services along with recommendations for other RYAN services as needed on their property. Requirements • 3 years’ experience in landscape plant maintenance or related field • High school diploma, (Horticulture degree preferred) • Working knowledge of plant identification, proper pruning and common issues by species • Commercial applicator's license or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire • Valid driver's license • Ability to obtain DOT medical certification • Ability to lift 50lbs • Ability to push/pull objects while walking up to 3 miles a day SAFETY-SENSITIVE POSITION: This is a safety-sensitive position requiring the operation of vehicles and equipment. All candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen (including marijuana), criminal background check, MVR check, and DOT physical (where applicable) before starting employment.
