Description
About This Opportunity
At KnowHireMatch, we believe the best projects start with the most precise eyes on the ground. We’re looking for a Georgia Registered Land Surveyor who sees the big picture—and the property line. This isn’t just a desk job. You’ll lead field crews, shape site development from the ground up, and leave your mark on industrial and commercial projects across the Griffin area. If you’re ready to trade generic tasks for genuine ownership, this is your shot.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be the go-to expert for all things boundary, topography, and easement. Your day-to-day will blend boots-on-the-ground leadership with technical precision:
• Direct and conduct surveys to establish legal property boundaries, using deeds, titles, and your own sharp judgment.
• Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions—then stand behind them with your seal.
• Verify every measurement and calculation for accuracy, from elevations to contours to relative positions.
• Calculate heights, depths, property lines, and terrain characteristics that shape the final design.
• Supervise the preparation of all survey data, charts, plots, maps, and records.
• Manage and schedule survey crews, keeping projects on time and on budget.
• Support the engineering department by providing the reliable data they need to build.
• Coach and develop team members, helping them grow their skills and confidence.
What You Bring
• Georgia Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RLS) — this is non-negotiable.
• 5+ years of experience with AutoCAD or survey-specific software.
• 4+ years of general land surveying experience, with a focus on industrial, commercial, and site development projects.
• Strong math and analytical skills—you catch errors before they become problems.
• Proven ability to juggle multiple projects, budgets, and deadlines without dropping the ball.
• Self-motivated and independent, but you also thrive as part of a team.
• A valid driver’s license and your current surveyor license.
The Details
• Location: Griffin, Georgia (on-site, no remote)
• Compensation: $90,000 – $120,000 per year
• Type: Direct Hire
• Benefits: Full benefits package, plus relocation and interview expenses covered
This is a role where your judgment matters, your leadership counts, and your work literally draws the lines for the next big project. If that sounds like your kind of challenge, let’s talk.
