Job Family: Student Work Study Department: Biology Supervisor: Carolyn Gilbert Job Title: Laboratory Assistant - Biology Job Description: Under direct supervision of the Laboratory Coordinator, this position will help prepare materials for genetics and microbiology lab courses. Job duties include, but are not limited to, reagent preparation, setting up and taking down laboratory workspaces; cleaning lab spaces, glassware, and laboratory instruments; and restocking supplies. Prior laboratory experience or an interest in research is strongly preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to balance academic commitments with scheduled work hours. Requirements: You must adhere to lab safety guidelines. You must have the ability to lift 20   lbs.   or more and be able to work on your feet for   much of   your shift. You must be able to commit to your specified work schedule, complete tasks in an organized and timely manner, and work cooperatively with others. Pay rate: $11 per hour Scheduled Hours: 10 Start Date: 08/17/2026 End Date: 05/17/2027
