Join Our Team as a Labor & Employment Attorney at Axiom
Location: Hybrid (Wilmington, MA - 3 days onsite)
We are seeking a U.S.-qualified Labor & Employment Attorney to join our team. In this role, you will provide expert legal advice and support on employment and labor matters, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk across U.S. and Canada operations. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with internal stakeholders and business leaders, shaping employment strategies and driving organizational success. This is an existing vacancy for a full-time engagement from June 1 to September 30, 2026.
Responsibilities:
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment-related documents and policies.
Providing legal guidance on employment and labor matters, including accommodations, wage and hour compliance, and employee relations.
Conducting and advising on internal investigations.
Collaborating with internal teams, including HR and leadership, on employment-related matters and initiatives.
Managing employment and labor issues for operations across the U.S. and Canada.
Staying ahead of industry trends and regulatory changes to provide proactive counsel.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in employment and labor law.
Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws and regulations (knowledge of Canadian employment law is a plus).
Proven track record of advising clients or internal stakeholders on employment-related matters.
Excellent communication, negotiation, technology, and problem-solving skills.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree and licensed to practice law in MA.
Preferred Skills:
Experience supporting multinational organizations.
Familiarity with cross-border employment issues between the U.S. and Canada.
Experience working closely with HR teams and handling sensitive employee relations matters.
Compensation:
The estimated total compensation for full-time Axiom attorney roles is $104,500-325,000 per year and for non-attorney roles is $71,250-309,750 per year. Compensation decisions are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.
