About the Role We are seeking a experienced L2/L3 Network Engineer to support enterprise LAN and WAN operations for a global life sciences organization in Ghent. The role focuses on day-to-day network operations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement across a multi-site international environment. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks and Cisco Meraki , and is comfortable operating across both operational support and engineering-level responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Support enterprise LAN and WAN operations across a multi-site environment Troubleshoot complex network issues across firewalls, routing, switching, wireless, VPNs, and SD-WAN Manage and support Palo Alto firewall configurations, including policies, NAT, VPNs, and troubleshooting Operate and support Cisco Meraki environments, including dashboard management, SD-WAN, switching, and wireless Contribute to network stability, performance, security, and continuous improvement Work closely with international teams and stakeholders Support monitoring, incident resolution, documentation, and operational best practices Requirements 5+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering or network support Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls, including: Security policies NAT VPNs Troubleshooting Strong experience with Cisco Meraki, including: Meraki Dashboard SD-WAN Switching Wireless Solid understanding of: TCP/IP DNS DHCP Routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF Network segmentation Network security principles Experience with WAN technologies, internet breakouts, and cloud connectivity Proven troubleshooting skills in complex, multi-site environments Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Auvik, SolarWinds, Datadog, or similar Comfortable working in an international environment Ability to provide a criminal record extract not older than three months, where required for the role Nice to Have Experience with SASE platforms such as Palo Alto Prisma, Cato, or similar Exposure to cloud networking in Azure or AWS Basic knowledge of QoS, traffic shaping, and application performance Relevant certifications such as CCNP, PCNSE, Meraki CMNA, or CMNP Benefits Broad range of tasks and responsibilities  Friendly and international working environment  Professional development opportunities  Referral program (“Fishing for Friends”)  Company-sponsored events    Is IT in your DNA?
