About the role:
Justteachers is currently recruiting for a passionate and resilient SEMH Teacher to join a specialist provision supporting Key Stage 2 pupils with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. This full-time position is based in a nurturing and inclusive setting in Rugby and will begin in September 2026, continuing until the end of the academic year.
The setting supports primary-aged pupils who require additional social, emotional, and behavioural support. The focus is on rebuilding trust in education, developing emotional literacy, and fostering both academic progress and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver creative, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with SEMH challenges.
• Create a calm, safe, and supportive classroom environment where every child feels valued and heard.
• Monitor and report on pupil progress, adjusting strategies as needed to support both learning and emotional development.
• Promote a trauma-informed and restorative approach to behaviour management.
Pre-requisites:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience working with SEMH learners or in an alternative provision setting.
• Two education-based references.
