Kidsplace Ministry Hospitality & Check-In
Compensation: Part-time hourly (10 hours per month).
Overtime is not permitted without prior HR authorization..
Office Hours: Available on Sundays and for various special Children’s Ministry events. The Lynden Office is open from 9-4, Mondays through Thursdays
Reports to: Director of Kidsplace
Overview of Position
This team member is responsible for being part of the Kidsplace team. Bringing joy along the way. Always helping with events. Being a great support person. They must be able to respect confidentiality, and work successfully and pleasantly with a wide range of personality types.
Essential Responsibilities
• Welcome and greet families, creating a warm and inviting environment
• Assist with check-in, register new families, and print name/security tags
• Help new families feel at home by providing information and support
• Use the childcare call system to notify parents as needed and remain with children until pickup
• Open, secure, and monitor ministry areas before, during, and after services
• Ensure kitchen and restroom areas are clean and well-maintained
• Support additional Children’s Ministry needs and special events as required
Qualifications & Skills
• Able to work well with others. We need people who are able to resolve conflicts quickly and in a
• God-pleasing fashion; who will exhibit a positive attitude; who will accept suggestions and correction with grace and patience; and who enjoy working with a team
• A consistent church attender, engaged in a regular involvement in Bible study and prayer. This person must possess a deep personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Comfortable calling people on the phone and carrying on conversations with them.
• Comfortable occasionally working with online viewing platforms.
• Able to learn to use our database to record attendance, enter data and create reports as needed.
• Good spelling skills are essential. This person should be a self-starter, and able to be flexible, adapt to new situations and needs, and to propose new ways to modify and improve systems.
• They must be able to respect confidentiality, and work successfully and pleasantly with a wide range of
personality types.
