• Customer Service and Operations
• Directly perform hands-on work on an ongoing basis to train employees, respond to customer service needs, or otherwise role model appropriate behaviours.
• Welcome parents and guests to the Mini Club and show them around.
• Plan a programme of daily activities and ensure that all planned activities are executed safely:
• Safe and that the first aid box is close by
• Age related and appropriate
• Followed accordingly unless the weather precludes.
• Monitor all activities and no child is left unobserved.
• Actively markets the Resort once the children have left by:
•
• Sending them Birthday cards
• Corresponding with the children
• Organises the Children’s Gift, Card & Décor at the Mini Club for the events.
• Organises outings and deals with outsourcers with regards to cost and pricing. (HOKC)
• Ensure and maintain the cleanliness of the Mini Club.
• Ensure all necessary forms are filled in by the parents.
• Administrative
• Plan the roster and manages staff efficiently by encouraging team building.
• Check of daily attendance sheet on a regular basis.
• Monitoring of all local and sick leaves/ ensuring proper planning of all leaves.
• Report monthly on Mini Club child attendance.
• Hold staff meetings regularly.
• Record all breakages /losses and all accidents, however minor.
• Administer monthly stock take
• Assist the in the recruitment, selection and development of staffs (HOKC)
• Health & Safety
• Ensure Occupational Safety and Health Act, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policy are met
• Ensure a safe working and customer experience environment by facilitating safe work behaviours of the team
• Conversant and adherent to First Aid practices and Child Safety
Qualification:
• Middle or Secondary Education + Additional training or certificates in the relevant field is a plus.
• Basic First Aid and CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation ) certification is a plus.
Experience:
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in hotel industry.
• Proven experience working in a top luxury resorts is a plus.
• At least 1 year or professional experience on a similar position is a plus.
• Must have experience working with children ages 10 months to 12 years of age.
Technical skills:
• Must be able to communicate with parents professionally, courteously, and empathetically.
• Ability and willingness to participate and engage in children’s activities.
• Ability to practice patience and common sense with the children in the facility.
• Must be able to document and report basic incidents in writing.
• Ability to mediate and manage conflict effectively among children.
• Ability to problem solve and resolve member complaints in an efficient, professional and courteous manner.
• Must be able to professionally and cordially interact with a diverse group of people.
• Self-starter who takes initiative to improve the organization.
• Fluency in English or another language, written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of a second language is a plus.
