justteachers are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Norwich that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September.
This role will begin on a supply basis, providing an excellent opportunity for both the candidate and the school to ensure the role is the right fit, with the intention of offering a permanent position following a successful trial period.
This rewarding opportunity is ideal for a passionate Primary Teacher who is committed to delivering engaging and inspiring learning experiences within Key Stage 1. The successful candidate will take responsibility for a KS1 class, creating a positive and supportive learning environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports high-quality learning
• Foster strong relationships with pupils, promoting confidence, independence, and positive behaviour
• Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, using assessment to inform future planning
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners, including pupils with SEND and those requiring additional challenge
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, learning, and achievement
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and senior leaders to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers, providing regular feedback on pupil progress
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school, including school events and extracurricular activities where appropriate
• Maintain accurate records and complete reporting responsibilities in line with school procedures
• Promote safeguarding and pupil welfare at all times
• Uphold the school’s values and commitment to providing an outstanding education for every child
Pre-requisites:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Previous experience teaching within Key Stage 1
• A strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging learning environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A flexible, positive, and proactive approach to teaching and learning
• The ability to build positive professional relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents/carers
• Good organisational and time management skills
• A commitment to raising standards and ensuring every child reaches their full potential
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
• Two recent education-based references
