About the opportunity
This role is focused on growing Xylem’s presence in the municipal and water utilities market across NSW. You will build strong customer relationships, identify new opportunities and help position Xylem as a trusted solutions partner.
You will also contribute market and competitive insights, support sales and marketing strategies, and help drive sustainable business growth.
Key responsibilities
• Develop and execute a sales plan to grow revenue, margin and market share across the municipal and water utilities segment.
• Conduct customer sales visits and provide tailored engineered solutions that meet operational and project requirements.
• Promote services, spare parts and long-term preventative maintenance agreements to strengthen customer value and lifecycle support.
• Identify, assess and pursue tender opportunities, future construction projects and qualified leads to build a strong sales pipeline.
• Deliver account plans, market insights and industry updates while prioritising initiatives to maintain a balanced and profitable portfolio.
• Collaborate with the wider sales team, support campaigns, exhibitions and tradeshows, and maintain accurate Salesforce CRM records.
About you
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in marketing and sales, ideally within an engineering environment.
• Strong ability to drive profitability, growth, lead generation, margin and market share through a strategic sales approach.
• Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships at multiple levels.
• Proven strengths in client management, time management, resilience, sales analytics and opportunity prioritisation.
• Tertiary qualifications in sales, engineering or business are highly desirable; familiarity with business management principles and the pump industry is advantageous.
• Happy to travel as this role requires high level of state-based travel.
