Requirements:
6 months - 1 year of experience in Manufacturing/Production and/or Food/Beverage or related industry is preferred.
High School diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Available to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends & holidays
Ability to read the English language (preferred)
Familiarity with ERP System (preferred)
Job Description:
At GT’s Living Foods, our Kefirs/Yo Operators are responsible for operating the machinery used to give our CocoYo the taste that our consumers know and love. In addition to performing the responsibilities of Kefirs/Yo Associates, Kefirs/Yo Operators are expected to measure and prepare the raw ingredients used to make our yogurt.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assemble/Disassemble machinery to prepare for cleaning and start up
Inspect security features and cleanliness of machinery before use (e.g., sensors, pumps, and valves) and adjust as needed prior to use
Perform quality checks on material including temperature and pH to ensure ingredients correspond with the necessary specifications
Document changes of equipment configuration, change overs, consumption, and all required production records in accordance with daily production schedules
Manually filling buckets of materials and loading onto carts for transportation to adjacent processing area.
Visual and physical examination of ingredients to ensure specifications are met prior to releasing to processing stage
Monitor processing to ensure ingredients meet quality specifications
Perform and document operational and post-operational cleaning of machinery
Document final consumption of ingredients and report as finished processed material and consume ingredients into production orders accurately
Clean work area as needed to maintain a safe work environment
Daily tasks/duties are frequently subject to rotation between Kefirs/Yo Operators
Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge of basic arithmetic including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced/dynamic environment
Ability to closely follow instructions and process
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Demonstrate teamwork as well as the ability to work independently
Strong attention to detail, including the ability to produce accurate and consistent data

Involves constant movement around the warehouse in a wet/humid environment and near moving mechanical/electrical equipment
Constant bending, lifting and transportation of containers filled with ingredients (up to 45 lbs.) to be inspected for quality
Frequent bending, lifting and transportation of raw material containers (up to 45 lbs.) to be palletized and placed into a cooler
Frequent and repetitive twisting/reaching/lifting motions to transfer ingredients from containers to machinery using a container (up to 45 lbs.)
Employees will be required to frequently operate in a cold environment (30-40°F)
