Description
About the team:
The People Ops & Payroll Eastern Europe team keeps the engine running for SumUppers across the region — making sure every hire, change, and payroll cycle is handled accurately, on time, and with care. In Bulgaria alone, we support 520+ employees, and as the business continues to grow, reliable People Ops execution is what makes that growth feel seamless for the people living it every day. This role sits at the heart of that — owning the day-to-day administration for SumUp Bulgaria, being a dependable point of contact for employees and managers, and helping us build a better, more consistent People Ops experience as we scale. The role is set to start as a one year fixed-term contract.

Support the monthly payroll cycle by collecting, validating, and submitting payroll inputs on time, coordinating with our external payroll provider
Handle routine employee and manager queries with a service mindset, escalating more complex cases when needed
Contribute to process improvements, documentation, and data quality routines — including spotting opportunities for automation
