About the Role Are you an early-career HR professional with exceptional German language skills who enjoys learning, solving problems, and helping others? Join 3E's EMEA HR Operations team in Sofia, where you'll support employees across Germany throughout the employee lifecycle while building your career in an international organization. This role is dedicated to supporting our German employee population. You'll communicate daily with employees and managers in German, prepare German-language employment documentation, coordinate with German payroll and benefits providers, and help ensure compliance with German employment requirements. Working closely with colleagues across HR, Payroll, Finance, and Legal, you'll deliver responsive, high-quality HR support while helping create an exceptional employee experience. Beyond supporting day-to-day HR operations, you'll become a subject matter expert in German HR administration. You'll research unfamiliar topics, document HR processes, create Standard Operating Procedures, and help build knowledge that enables the broader HR team to better support employees across Germany. We actively embrace AI-enabled tools such as Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT to improve efficiency, streamline administrative work, and enhance documentation, and you'll be encouraged to leverage these tools thoughtfully while protecting confidential information. This role is ideal for someone who is naturally curious, highly organized, enjoys continuous learning, and takes ownership of their work. As your experience grows, you'll also have opportunities to broaden your knowledge by supporting additional countries and contributing to global HR initiatives. What You'll Do - Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities for employees in Germany. - Prepare German-language employment contracts, amendments, confirmations, reference letters, and employee communications. - Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation. - Respond to employee and manager HR inquiries in German and provide timely, customer-focused support. - Support payroll administration, benefits administration, and time and attendance activities. - Coordinate with German payroll providers, insurance providers, and other external vendors. - Ensure compliance with German employment legislation and HR policies. - Research HR topics, create documentation, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures. - Partner with HR Operations, Payroll, Finance, Legal, and external stakeholders to improve HR processes and operational efficiency. - Support additional HR projects and responsibilities as business needs evolve. What Makes You a Great Fit - Native or C2-level German (written and verbal) is required. - Professional English proficiency (minimum B2/C1). - 0–3 years of experience in HR administration, HR Operations, or a related field. - Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail. - Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to build trust in a remote environment. - Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy. - Foundational knowledge of German labor law, employment practices, and HR
