Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician Where will you work: Onsite –Colonsay, Saskatchewan, Canada (Colonsay is located approximately 42 miles from City of Saskatoon, with an average driving time of about 45 minutes) Hourly: - $63.42, As per CBA As a Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician at our Colonsay, SK location. The successful candidate will safely and efficiently perform the duties of a Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician in an assigned area on an assigned shift. What you’ll do? Reporting to the maintenance supervisor you will work as part of a team and be responsible for maintenance and repair of all instrumentation assets on surface and/or underground by working safely in an industrial environment and following the procedures and policies that are in place. Perform preventative maintenance inspections, troubleshoot failed equipment, and come up with a plan for reliable and timely repairs. Repair, maintain and install measurement and control equipment such as valves, analyzers, control systems, gauge, transmitters, and others. Install, test and commission new instrument systems. Responsible for measurement accuracy of flow, level, pressure, density, vibration, and temperature, etc using Analog and HART protocol. Responsible for installation of Wireless, Ethernet and Fiber Optic Communications and for basic configuration of instruments using Delta V DCS and AMS Test and diagnose faults using pneumatic, electrical, and electronic testing devices in consultation with manufacturers’ manuals to determine test and maintenance procedures. Ability to utilize in house computer programs to read PLC logic for troubleshooting purposing. Basic computer skills and ability to communicate and report any deficiencies or corrections noticed during routine maintenance or inspections either verbally or in writing. Willingness to learn and gain adequate knowledge and experience through training. Play a critical role not only ensuring your own safety, but also the safety of others. Be able to work in the field, shop or underground. This position may require shift work and/or weekend work. What you’ll need: The successful applicant must hold a Journeyperson Interprovincial Red Seal Ticket. Previous experience in an industrial environment using Maximo and or SAP maintenance programs and basic knowledge of Delta V and Max systems would be an asset.
