Overview The Electrical Tester   is responsible for   performing testing and data collection on industrial and utility vehicles, associated equipment, and   component   systems. This   position   involves fabricating prototype components and test fixtures for both laboratory and field evaluations.   The   Electrical Tester installs,   maintains , and repairs test equipment and components as   required   to support testing activities. Roles & Responsibilities • Conducts tests of new components, assemblies ,   and systems , as well as comparison tests of competitive products and components   based on test criteria as   established   by policies and procedures or written test plans;   maintains   accurate   records of test results and reports results to appropriate development and testing group. • Prepares prototypes of components assemblies and systems of either new or current products as directed by policies and procedures ,   written test   plans   or work requests. Ensures that the prototypes meet the established specifications. • Performs inspections and installation of parts and components on test cars;   maintains   accurate   records of the installation of these parts and the collection of test data. • Builds test fixtures to carry out various needs associated with testing the components in a manner that will be accelerated in terms of time and that will correlate with actual field use conditions. • S afely   executes the   hook up   of   electrical connections and energize using proper PPE and safety guidelines. • S afely start s ,   operate s   and perform s   unit running functions and shut down. • C ommitted to ensuring the HVAC unit   operates   and passes all functional tests as per company standards. • Recognizes   and mitigate s   hazards that arise while the HVAC unit is in operational conditions and respond s   effectively. • Provides regular updates to the supervisor on all ongoing projects, including   current status , estimated completion timelines, and any issues   encountered   during execution. • Executes and completes testing reports with accuracy for each unit. • Operates machinery and equipment in a safe manner following established safety   procedures. • Maintains a neat and clean work area. • Follows established   tool   and instrument control procedures.
