Description
BASIC FUNCTION:  Assisting clients with job-related tasks on client’s worksite, being able to oversee job completion while working with multiple clients throughout shift. Implementing knowledge and modeling job-related skills to foster independence, this may include interpersonal skills and employment skills such as basic job tasks, self-direction. (safety) ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Guide and assist client at job site in completing job-related tasks to increase independence. • Mentor by aiding and providing tools for the development of motivation and self-direction • Maintain positive communication between the client, office staff, and the store manager. • Complete daily documentation of client progress on their goals. • Advise on workplace accommodations to ensure that client can meet job requirements. • Effective time management to fit multiple clients within daily shifts. • Manage client behavior by applying effective de-escalation techniques to courage utilizing their coping skills. • Represent Shine Bright Care through positive interactions with customers, other employees, and management. • Maintain confidentiality of clients, taking precautions to adhere to all HIPPA guidelines. • Utilize teaching techniques, promote work conducive to learning by utilizing a variety of instructional techniques to meet clients’ needs • Promote a safe work environment and the safety of clients. • All other skills as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES • Ability to consistently be at work and on time • Conflict resolution skills • Critical thinking skills • Ability to follow oral and written instructions • Ability to communicate and maintain/demonstrate a positive attitude. • Knowledge of how to de-escalate behaviors effectively. • Ability to work independently. • Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, and making repetitive motions depending on the client’s position. • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with a disability to perform the essential functions. QUALIFICATIONS: • Must be at least 18 years of age • Able to pass a background check • Experience preferred but willing to train eager-to-learn candidate • Daily Schedules Schedules For this position Monday through Friday 9:30am to 5:00pm May change due to clients Scheduling
