Job Summary: A warm and welcoming family based in Blackheath, South East London, is seeking an experienced Italian-speaking nanny to care for their two children, aged 3 years and 1 year. Their current nanny is returning to Italy for personal reasons, and they are looking for someone to start at the end of June. The position is primarily focused on childcare, with the mother returning to work in October. The ideal candidate will be nurturing, organised, and experienced with young children, and must be able to speak Italian confidently. A First Aid qualification is preferred. A driver is not essential, although a car can be provided for work-related use if required. General Duties: Provide sole-charge care for two children aged 3 years and 1 year. Plan and engage the children in age-appropriate activities and outings. Take the children to classes and local activities. Support daily routines, including naps and mealtimes. Prepare and cook healthy meals for the children. Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the children’s bedrooms and play areas. Complete children’s laundry and nursery duties. Communicate with the children in Italian and support language development. Ensure the children’s safety, wellbeing, and development at all times. Work occasional extended hours when required, with additional pay provided. Candidate Specifications: Italian-speaking (essential). Previous experience caring for children of similar ages. Confident managing two young children independently. Warm, nurturing, and proactive approach. Well-organised and reliable. Driver desirable but not essential.
